What are credits?
Every API call costs a fixed number of credits based on how heavy the operation is. Premium operations like sponsoring or submitting a user operation cost 500 credits; data and estimation calls cost between 1 and 300. Your plan includes a monthly credit allowance, and on Pay-as-you-go additional credits cost $1 per 100,000.
How does the sponsorship surcharge work?
When you sponsor gas on mainnet, Pimlico fronts the gas and bills you the actual cost plus a 10% surcharge. On testnets there is no surcharge. Enterprise plans get lower pre-negotiated rates.
Can I settle gas by monthly invoice instead of per-operation?
Yes. Boosted Sponsorships settle gas by monthly invoice instead of per-operation on-chain deduction — the billing model your finance team already expects — and make user operations 34–43% faster end to end. Access is granted on request, so talk to us.
Do I need a credit card to start?
Yes. Pay-as-you-go requires a card on file, with a default billing threshold of $1,000 per month. Your plan includes 10,000,000 credits per month before any usage charges apply.
What happens if I hit my rate limit?
Pay-as-you-go plans are limited to 5,000 requests per minute. If you need more, Enterprise plans have no rate limits, so talk to us.
Which chains are supported?
Pimlico is live on 100+ chains including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and Gnosis, with new chains added continuously. If you are launching a chain, we partner directly.
